Jelena Mihajlov

Jelena Mihajlov acts as the Local Project Manager for the Minority Protection for EU Accession (MPA) project implemented in Serbia. She boasts an extensive professional background spanning the civil, public, and private sectors, further enriched by her interdisciplinary academic pursuits.

Jelena earned a Bachelor's degree in History of Art from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Belgrade, and a Master's degree in Theory of Culture from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade. She is currently working on a Ph.D. thesis focused on the analysis of the implementation of minority public policies through the practices of cultural institutions in Serbia, specifically within the multicultural region of Vojvodina.

Her professional focus and research interests lie in minority rights and public policy analysis, with a particular emphasis on culture. This includes the practices of cultural institutions, with a focus on museums, minority representation, and the construction of minority cultural identities. She also possesses extensive research experience in the field of regional cultural cooperation in the Western Balkans.
